London Marathon 2009

This year, 13 runners complete the 26.2 mile course around London for HemiHelp...

Mums, dads, aunts, uncles, friends of HemiHelp families and friends of HemiHelp staff all took up the challenge to run the 26.2 mile course on Sunday 26 April. Caroline Sharp

Some of the team were not really experienced runners before now, so they really did embark on a serious challenge. Rest assured they all did magnificently and worked really hard towards their goal. Currently, the combined total sponsorship of our Marathon Team is at £29K! I think you'll agree this is fantastic, and is evidence of our runners' fundraising efforts. Well done guys!

The HemiHelp team came from all over the U.K to gather on the last weekend in April, to run in what is described as one of the best events in London all year. HemiHelp staff and runners' friends and family, went out to cheer them on as they made their way around the streets of London. (Photos coming soon)

The Marathon really is an incredible challenge, made even more difficult by the sweltering temperatures on Sunday. If you would like to show your support to any of the team, you can sponsor any one of the following runners by clicking on their name below. Or make a donation to HemiHelp and send it into Helen Kowalski at the HemiHelp office.

Joe Sinclair embarked on various challenges set by his friends, in order to reach his minimum £1,500 target, which all runners pledge to raise. He also wrote a song 'I am the Marathon Man'. Check it out, along with the rest of his videos.
