Did you know...
Music workshops
Do you want to give your child the opportunity to try out new activities, increase their confidence and have some fun? Then come to a HemiHelp music workshop!
Forthcoming workshops
Sunday 25th April 2010, Craighalbert Centre, Cumbernauld, near Glasgow
Talented professional musicians from the nationwide community outreach Live Music Now scheme, who ran a fantastic workshop in Gateshead last year, will lead the day with a variety of activities incorporating the use of percussion and brass instruments. The one day music workshop aims to give your child the opportunity to try out new musical activities, learn and create sounds, increase their confidence, have some fun and meet other children with hemiplegia. The workshop will be tailored to meet the needs of the group and will work in smaller age specific groups throughout the day to cater for all ages and abilities. During the course of the day we'll also hold a parent forum, where parents (if they wish) can get together to discuss any issues relevant to them and their child with us and each other.
For families travelling from a distance, there is also the opportunity to reserve a room at a hotel near to the venue and get together the evening before at an organised meal.
