Magic Taster Session: Saturday 19 June

Evelina Children’s Hospital, UK, Dana Children’s Hospital, IL, Tel Aviv University, & Columbia University NY present...

Is your child interested in learning to become a young magician?

The Evelina Children’s Hospital would like to invite children with a hemiplegia, aged 8 – 16, who might be interested in learning to become “young magicians”, to attend a one hour “taster session”. Two professional magicians will do a performance of a variety of magic tricks and participants will then have the opportunity to learn a few of these themselves.

We will be running 2 week camps in the summer to promote development of bimanual skills. The camps will involve morning magic sessions - demonstration & learning of tricks, and afternoon sessions will be a varied program of activities, ranging from circus skills, balloon modelling, costume making (so that participants can make their own magic hat, cape and wand) and music. On the final day of camp, there will be a theatrical magic show in which the children can showcase all their new tricks and skills to family and friends.

The purpose of the taster session is twofold - so you can find out more about the summer camp program, and your child can experience learning a few tricks, and if they find this enjoyable, register to attend the summer camp.

Taster session will be 10.30 – 11.30am Saturday 19th June, at the Evelina Children’s Hospital.

Attendance is via invitation only following contact as below.
