It's OK to ask
We were very impressed last year that a number of you held activities at your schools to raise awareness of hemiplegia. This year we thought we’d give you a hand and produce a pack of resources to help you talk to your friends and teachers about hemiplegia.
You’ve told us that your friends being unwilling to talk about hemiplegia, pretending it doesn’t exist, creates a barrier between you, and to help break this barrier down we’re producing a set of postcards on the theme “It’s Ok to ask”. The postcards feature questions about hemiplegia on one side and two or three responses to each question on the other, to give an idea of the different ways in which people can be affected.
