HemiHelp says farewell to CEO Amy Couture

We are very sad to say goodbye to Amy Couture who has moved up north to be closer to her family and to start a new CEO role in Warrington. Amy has contributed a great deal over the last five and a half years, taking the charity from nine staff (four full time) to thirteen (seven full time) and ensuring our information and support is accurate, reliable and accessible.

With Amy leading HemiHelp we have redefined our strategy and have identified ways we can make what we do even better so that more people with hemiplegia and their families have the support and information they need. We wish her lots of luck in her new adventure.

We are very pleased to announce that the board of trustees has recruited our next CEO – Cara Evans, who has worked in the charity sector for nearly 20 years. Cara brings with her a wealth of experience and, as a former trustee, a good understanding of the history and impact of HemiHelp. Cara said: ‘I am thrilled to be part of the fantastic team at HemiHelp and I’m looking forward to meeting as many members as possible over the next few months’.

Cara can be contacted directly at
