I am pleased to be able to tell you that HemiHelp is working with publishers Mac Keith Press, to produce a user-friendly handbook on hemiplegia – and we need your help! We would really appreciate it if you could take some time to fill this survey in to help us with the book.
Until now there has been no book giving an overview of childhood hemiplegia for the people who are most affected by it – the children and young people themselves, and their parents, families, friends and teachers. The only book that exists on hemiplegia is ‘Congenital Hemiplegia’, published by Mac Keith Press, and co-edited by HemiHelp president Dr Robert Goodman. Those of you who have seen it will know that it is written by medical professionals for medical professionals - and is no easy read for the rest of us!
I apologise for the length of the survey and for going over any information that you may have given us before, but your input and feedback is vital to help us ensure that this handbook really meets the needs of families affected by hemiplegia. We would also like to take this opportunity to update membership details. This will help plan services and events that serve our members better.
Please try to spend a few minutes filling in the form if you can. We are very grateful for your time and support.
Finally, as a thank you for completing this survey, everyone who fills in the questionnaire by 30 April 2008 will be entered into a prize draw. There are £50 of John Lewis vouchers up for grabs and lots of other HemiHelp goodies - from bears to bags!
